DIY Pantry Moth Spray

Are you having a dreaded attack of pantry moths (aka pantry weevils)? I’ve had several episodes over the years, and I’m really pleased to have finally found a spray that helps to keep them away.

Once moths have taken hold of your pantry, you’ll need to go through everything and throw out all food items that show signs of infestation. It’s easy to spot the moths themselves, but you’ll need to keep an eye out for strands of webbing on packets, or the wiggly larvae that pour out of your breakfast cereal – yuck.

Next take everything out of your pantry and give it a good clean with hot soapy water, let dry and spray the entire area with this DIY spray. Leave the spray to dry, moths really dislike this combination of essential oils and white vinegar.

Respray exposed areas like the ceiling and inside the doors every now and then to keep them away.
