DIY Energising Diffuser Blend

reed diffuser Triona house, plant in background

To boost your energy, and calm the mind, try making this energising diffuser blend with lemongrass, sweet orange, lemon and rosemary essential oils.

We stock the carrier for the essential oils and glass bottles with reeds. It is more cost effective, and much more fun, to make your own blends rather than purchase them ready made. You can also be sure that only pure essential oils go into your blend and not fragrance oils that can have harmful toxins, which you don’t want wafting around your home.

Energising Diffuser Blend

10 drops of lemongrass essential oil

4 drops of lemon essential oil

4 drops of sweet orange essential oil

3 drops rosemary essential oil

100ml Di propylene Glycol*

Mix together and pour into your diffuser, add the reeds and leave for an hour then flip so ensure good coverage of oils.

This recipe will make two reed diffusers if you buy ours as they are 50ml in size. You can also half the recipe.

*Di propylene Glycol is a high-purity synthetic product, designed for use in odor-sensitive applications, this liquid is practically odourless, colourless, water-soluble and hygroscopic. It has very low toxicity.

You can also use sweet almond oil but it won’t travel up the reeds as well or hold the scent for as long.
