Baking Soda Hair Wash

BAKINGSODA

This recipe was a personal favourite of mine a couple of years ago when I was trying to go as long as possible without using shampoo. This was what I used instead and although it took a bit of getting used to and isn’t as easy going as regular shampoo, it worked really well for me.

Baking Soda Hair Wash

Mix about 3 tbsp Wendyl’s Premium baking soda with water in a cup until you have a paste. (If you have really long hair you’ll need more, so double this recipe.) Wet your hair and then rub the paste all over your hair and scalp, as you would a shampoo. It won’t foam, but keep rubbing it all in for about a minute. Rinse out, and then you can follow up with a vinegar hair rinse made from 1⁄2 tbsp vinegar in one cup of water. Then email me about how nice your hair feels. -Wendyl
