Freshen Your Mouth — Put one teaspoon in half a glass of warm water, stir to dissolve then swish, spit and rinse. Odours are neutralised, not just covered up.

Use as a Facial Scrub – Give yourself a quick but effective facial. Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part warm water. Rub gently in a circular motion to exfoliate the skin. Rinse clean.

Use as an Antacid — Baking soda is a safe and effective antacid to relieve heartburn and acid indigestion. Mix a teaspoon in a small glass of warm water and swallow.

Treat Insect Bites — Make a paste out of baking soda and apple cider vinegar and apply as a salve onto affected skin. 

Make a Hand Cleanser and Softener — Neutralise odours and remove dirt with this paste, mix 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water, or 3 parts baking soda to Green Goddess Hemp & Rose Foaming Soap. Then rinse clean. You can try this honey and cornmeal scrub for hands too.

Detox Your Scalp — Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda into your palm and mix to a paste. Massage this into your scalp and roots to remove chemical residue left by commercial shampoos and styling products.

Make a Bath Soak — Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to your bath to neutralise acids on the skin and help wash away oil and perspiration, it also makes your skin feel very soft.

Soothe Your Feet – Dissolve 3 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of Green Goddess Premium Epsom Salts in a bucket of warm water and soak your feet for 15 minutes. Then gently scrub, the baking soda will soften your feet and dead skin can be easily removed. The Epsom salts will soothe and relax your muscles.

Make a Surface Soft Scrub – This is quick and easy to make, all you need is medium coarse salt, baking soda and Green Goddess Hemp Eucalyptus Organic Dish Wash let it sit then scour off.

Remove Cooked on Food on Pots & Pans – Let them soak in baking soda and dish wash liquid mixed with water, over night is best. In the morning empty and then use dry baking soda on a clean damp sponge or non-scratch cloth to lift stuck on food and wash as usual.

Hi Emma, I hand washed mine in warm water with castile soap added … about 1/3 cup Green Goddess Unscented Castile the tub and wash and scrub gently if necessary to remove mould, then soak in 1/4 cup Green Goddess Double Strength White Vinegar and water for 15 mins and hang on the line to dry so they don’t crease.
