DIY Liquid Air Freshener

Instead of spraying your friends and family with toxic chemical-laden air fresheners, why not make up a bottle of this all-natural air freshener and keep your air smelling fabulous without synthetic fragrances.

Due to my intolerance of synthetics, we don’t use any commercial deodorisers or air fresheners at home as I can taste the toxins on my tongue within a minute or two and soon after that my eye lids start to feel heavy which means that itchy feeling is on the way usually accompanied by a bout of sneezing.

Making this spray is a quick way to freshen the air and get rid of unwanted smells without those side effects. It’s also really easy to make once you have all the essential oils, the only other ingredient is some vodka or gin.

Liquid Air Freshener
10 drops lavender essential oil
5 drops bergamot essential oil
5 drops clove essential oil
2 drops peppermint essential oil
½ cup vodka or gin
½ cup filtered water

Combine in a spray bottle and shake to combine. Spray as frequently as you like, avoiding the eyes. You can experiment with your own blend of oils, depending on your needs. Just remember to mix with the vodka or gin and water. To purchase Essential Oils click here.
