DIY Driveway Cleaner

Once the rain has finally eased off, or better yet, gone away, you may find your driveway has gone slimy and mossy, whilst this doesn’t look great more of a concern is slipping over and sustaining an injury.

Ours has been in need of a good clean for a few months. Last week we finally got a dry day so Grant could use the recipe he created after playing around with some of our premium ingredients. The method is fairly easy, all it takes is a bit of elbow grease and a few hours of nice weather.

DIY Driveway Cleaner
Clean the area by brushing away any debris, if you have one use a leaf blower to ensure the area is clear. Once done get your bucket of liquid, dip in your broom and brush over the whole area making sure the surface is totally covered. Leave on for two hours then brush whats left around with a stiff broom to move any stubborn dirt and moss, finally wash down with a relatively high powered hose.  Leave to dry (hopefully in the sun) and that’s it.

Here’s what you’ll need …

3 Tbsp Dish wash liquid, Grant used Green Goddess Hemp & Eucalyptus

1/2 Cup Borax

1 Cup Soda Ash

A large bucket and stiff bristled broom

Fill your bucket half full with warm water, add the borax and soda ash and stir to combine, add the dish wash and stir again and you’re ready to brush.
